Great for oily skin the the desert Date:March 2, 2012 I live in the high desert and I have oily skin that can easily be get congested. This product is easily absorbed without feeling at all greasy. I layer it under Ultimate UV Defense and my feels hydrated and protected without getting too shiny. Love it Date:February 16, 2012 I love this moisturizer - I am on my second jar. It has a nice, smooth texture that is non-greasy and non-sticky. It totally absorbs into the skin. When my skin is extra dry in the winter, I also use the Hydrating B5 Gel for some extra moisture. I use this cream in the morning and then use the Renew Overnight Dry at night. It's been a great combination for me. I have been using Skinceuticals about 6 months now and love all of my products. Effective Date:October 27, 2011 I had first got this as a gift from a friend that knew I had horribly dry skin. Silly sounding since I'm living in Florida and because of all the humidity. As it were, the moment I ran out of Emollience I had to buy more. I'm going to be so sad when I can't afford more. The Issue: I have a reverse t-zone. It's completely dry and can get rather sensitive when made fun of; but in all seriousness, the skin in that area would be sensitive to anything I put on it. It would get inflamed, peel, burn...the list is endless. I also have trouble areas right along my cheek bones the corners of my nose that would also get very dry. My skin never get overly oily, but certain moisturizers had the tendency to make me look like an oil slick. The Solution: With Emollience I was skeptical at best. At the time I didn't have any complementing products so I just went with what I normally used to wash and tone my face. (Thank goodness it didn't have any adverse effects with my normal products!) When it came time to moisturize, I was floored at how light but full coverage the moisturizer was. It seemed to help my dry areas on contact. I used it once in the morning and once at night and over just a few days there was a noticeable different in my skin. Where I had no dry areas, Emollience didn't make my skin anymore oily than it naturally was. It just offered hydration and protection. There was also the major plus of not irritating my already irritated skin. There was no sensitivity to Emollience. Now I'm sure there are all kinds of people that have variations of dryness happening upon their face. I'm not sure it they are just as bothered as I was, but I was embarrassed of my skin and when it came time to use makeup I never really entertained the idea since it would look so horrible. Since Emollience, my skin has been smooth and perfectly hydrated. No dryness to speak of, no irritation, no sensitivity and most importantly no embarrassment. My family and friends noticed the difference in me right away when I began to feel more confident in my skin. I know this product cost a pretty penny, but I feel like this product is worth it. Would I recommend this? In a heartbeat!
