In a double blind clinical study of 80 multi-ethnic male and female subjects with mild to moderate hyperpigmentation ranging in age from 25 to 60, Pigment Regulator was evaluated against medical standard on a variety of attributes. There was no statistical difference between the pigment lightening abilities of the two products.
Science
This patent-pending formulation combines precise concentrations of kojic acid and emblica along with a highly efficient exfoliating blend. Pigment Regulator uses three modes of action to systematically improve uneven skin tone by inhibiting tyrosinase to reduce excess melanin production, preventing melanin deposits from reaching the surface, and breaking up melanin clusters on the skin’s surface.

2% Kojic acid: A by-product of the rice fermentation process, this skin-lightening agent inactivates tyrosinase by the chelation of copper. It balances skin tone and fades dark spots and freckles caused by sun exposure and aging.

2% Emblica: Also known as Indian gooseberry, this fruit extract is a natural skin-brightening agent that prevents and reverses UV-induced hyperpigmentation and redness by inhibiting the transfer of melanosomes from melanocytes to keratinocytes.
Key Ingredient 3
Exfoliants: A 10% concentration of glycolic acid and aminosulfonic acid compound eliminates dead skin cells and breaks up excess pigment on the skin's surface.
