WHY SPF MATTERS
SPF is essential for all skin types and should be worn every day — not only on beach days or days with prolonged outdoor exposure. UVA rays are aging rays from the sun that cause fine lines and wrinkles. UVB rays are burning rays that create redness, heat, and discoloration. Without protection, these rays create a compromised opening in the skin leading to further damage from environmental aggressors. Sunscreen should be applied at least 15 to 20 minutes before sun exposure and reapplied every two hours for maximal broad-spectrum protection.
Even on days when you are not spending time outdoors, SPF is important — light comes in through windows and you are exposed to UV rays in the car when going from one place to another. Sunscreen needs to be on you at all times.

THE PREVENT CORRECT PROTECT PHILOSOPHY
SkinCeuticals organizes skincare into three steps, labelled on every product box so you always know where each product belongs in your routine.
PREVENT — Antioxidants. Apply first, immediately after cleansing. CE Ferulic is the daytime vitamin C antioxidant serum and the prevent step.
CORRECT — Corrective serums and moisturizers applied thinnest to thickest after your preventative step. Phyto Corrective Gel and Phyto A+ Brightening Treatment are corrective steps.
PROTECT — Your SPF. Apply before going outside and reapply every two hours. Clear Daily Soothing UV Defense SPF 50 is the protect step.
MORNING ROUTINE WITH THE SOOTHING SET
Step 1 — Soothing Cleanser: soap-free cleanser applied with a cotton round or cotton pad.
Step 2 — CE Ferulic (if purchasing both sets): three to four drops pressed and tapped into the skin immediately after cleansing, before Phyto Corrective Gel.
Step 3 — Phyto Corrective Gel: two to three drops massaged lightly into the skin. Contains olive leaf extract, mulberry extract, thyme, and cucumber extract — natural plant-derived ingredients that soothe, calm, and moisturize. Delivers an immediate glow and helps alleviate sensitivity almost instantaneously.
