Proxylane™

What is Proxylane?

Moisture in your skin is essential to proper healing and reducing signs of aging like wrinkles or lines. Proxylane™ in skincare is a synthetic ingredient found in some of our formulas as a super moisturizer that helps to strengthen the skin’s extracellular matrix and increase skin elasticity and firmness. Synthesized from the sugar xylose found in birch and beech wood, Proxylane™ is an ingredient used to keep skin plump by reducing wrinkles, increasing elasticity, and improving hydration.

What is Glycation?

Skin glycation refers to the process of excess sugars binding to proteins such as collagen and reducing them into a brittle, stiff fiber called advanced glycation end-products (A.G.E.s). To help reduce the visible signs of aging associated with A.G.E.s, Proxylane™ for skin improves the structure of skin and helps skin appear brighter and more firm.
